On March 8th, the "National Innovative Drug and Generic Drug Production Base" of HEC and the opening ceremony of major projects in Yichang City in March 2018 were grandly held at the No. 3 site of HEC Yidu Base.

As the biggest key projects of Yidu City in 2018, HEC's "National Innovative Drug and Generic Drug Production Base" and "Yangtze River Mountain City Water City Health City" projects were unveiled at the scene.

The "National Innovative Drug and Generic Drug Production Base" project has a total investment of 3 billion yuan and a planned land area of more than 800 acres. It will undertake the industrialization of more than 150 new drugs, biological drugs, first generic drugs, European and American generic drugs, and Chinese generic drugs independently developed by HEC.

The "Yangtze River Mountain City Water City Health City" project has a total investment of 26.8 billion yuan and a planned land area of more than 50,000 acres. It is jointly developed by Yidu Guotong Investment and Development Co., Ltd. and HEC Company. With BNCT technology (boron neutron capture therapy) as the core engine, we will build the largest anti-tumor treatment center in China, and create a domestic first-class and world-leading health care industry cluster.

The construction of the two major projects will also inject stronger impetus into the social and economic development of Yidu and Yichang! 10 other projects of other enterprises and municipal engineering have been started at this ground-breaking ceremony.

Zhang Zhongneng, Chairman of HEC Group, Yuan Weidong, Member of the Standing Committee of Yichang Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor, and Luo Lianfeng, Secretary of Yidu Municipal Party Committee delivered speeches respectively.

Chairman Zhang Zhongneng briefly introduced the current situation and research and development process of HEC Group. HEC unswervingly takes the road of high technology, research and development and innovation, and constantly uses scientific research to improve the quality of human life and life health. Since its establishment 13 years ago, the HEC Research Institute has invested more than 15 billion yuan in total. There are more than 300 R&D projects, and 16 new drugs have entered human clinical practice. The total project evaluation value exceeds 30 billion yuan. It will become China's largest pharmaceutical company and the largest health industry company around 2022.

Yuan Weidong pointed out that a large number of high-quality enterprises represented by HEC have deeply rooted in Yichang, which has effectively promoted the social and economic development of the city. The 12 key projects started this time will have a positive impact on Yichang to further optimize its industrial structure, expand its economic aggregate, and accelerate the construction of a modern economic system.

Luo Lianfeng said that Yidu always regards project construction as an important support for a strong industrial city, and always adheres to the development idea of "all around the project and everything around the project". After the commencement ceremony, Zhou Ji and his entourage inspected the construction site of the "National Innovative Drug and Generic Drug Production Base" project construction site and the Industrial Park of No. 3 HEC.
